Many people purchase leasehold maisonettes in converted buildings thinking that they will be able to extend to the space under the roof (or use the roof space outside their windows) to then discover they cant.
Others purchase homes without realising the loft is not insulated and discover it when the winter fuel bills arrive.
And of course there are others who ,when selling their property, discover the square meters of their loft are less than expected because of the headroom rules.
Make sure you do the research required to minimise risks.
