DO you need Building Regulations Approval ?

Are you familiar with the Building Regulations?

They are a set of documents for use by all when designing and building.

Each document discussed one aspect of the build and give guidance such as the one in the image

Unfortunately there are many misconceptions around the BR and around what does and does not require approval.

I want to list a few things you might not be aware could require BR approval:

replacement of fuse boxes and electrics connecting to and from
Bathroom works that require plumbing
changes to electrics around a bath or shower
the installation of and integrated air-conditioning system
replacement of windows and doors (yes)
replacement of your roof coverings
installation or replacement of your central heating system

Do check with an approved inspector or local authority before you assume.
